Preschool Information

Preschool is done by a lottery. Please call the Early Childhood Center before registering your child online.

Kindergarten registration opens March 2018!

 

A child must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2018. Once you have completed the online registration (see “CLICK HERE” below), you can make an appointment by calling the PACE office to complete the process.

Appointments will be scheduled starting March 1, 2018.

If your child is already in prekindergarten in the Fall River Public Schools, do not complete an application on-line. Just come to the Parent Information Center after March

 

 



AN IMPORTANT NOTE TO PARENTS AND GUARDIANS REGARDING TRANSFER REQUESTS:
 

FRPS will review and consider requests for school transfers using our prescribed criteria (sibling, hardship, preference) based on available seats and without transportation up until 12 pm on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. Following this, we will not entertain any transfer requests until September 25, 2018. All parents will be notified of the outcome of their request the first week of August, 2018. Elementary and Middle Schools

Students will be assigned to the elementary or middle school based on their address.  You may look up the school zone you reside in by using the link above.  If your neighborhood school is full, the Parent Info Center will assist in student placement

District Programs

Students who are assigned to special programs such as ELL, special education, GATE may require placement in different schools based on district program needs. Transportation may be provided to students enrolled in district programs.
